Expert Captains & Naturalists

We have expert captains and naturalist on our trips. Each captain is trained in water safety to provide you with the best possible excursion. Our captains follow the wildlife viewing guidelines incorporated by NOAA. In addition, each captain completes training and gains familiarity of the waters for the best whale sightings possible.

Also, our naturalists are specially trained about the marine wildlife in Alaska. They enjoy the passengers, the wildlife, and being on the water. This is truly one of the best opportunities to work and gain amazing experiences each and every day.

Through the years Dolphin Tours has had the opportunity to employ many different individuals from all over the United States. We have had individuals with many different backgrounds. Our staff has been made up mostly of students looking for summer work and adventure. Many business students have enjoyed the challenge in the travel and tourism industry. In addition, there are excellent customer service skills attained in this service industry.

Also, we have had many animal experts work with us as naturalists. This is usually a position many individuals desire. This position is an excellent combination of days on the water and contact with the amazing wildlife in Alaska.
