Position Summary

Position: Naturalist/Dechhand
Reports To: On Duty Manager
Salary: Hourly wage $13.00 to $15.00; + an end of season bonus

This is a seasonal position beginning in April and ending in September. The general duties are to follow USCG guidelines, ensure safety and comfort of passengers, maintain general boat duties, and any other duties as required by the management staff. This is a fast pace environment that requires both attention to detail and flexibility to change and adapt to the changes in tour schedules.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, minimum age 18
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Knowledge of USCG guidelines
Strong leadership and problem solving abilities
Excellent customer service focus
Ability to follow direction and adapt well to a changing environment

Working Environment:

This position is required to work in an outdoor environment. Duties include clean and stock the vessel, customer service, assist captain in general duties, work with all other staff for any other tour operations. In addition, this position requires greeting of passengers and helping to expedite transfers from the bus to the boat and vise versa. It is important to maintain a professional company representation at all times while on duty.
