Position:                   Office Personnel
Reports to:               On Duty Manager
Salary:                      Hourly wage $10.00 to $13.00; + end of season bonus; $2.00 per hr

Position Summary:
This is a seasonal position beginning in April and ending in September. The general duties are to answer telephones, take reservations, follow on pre-employment paperwork, and any other office duties as required by the management staff. This is a fast pace environment that requires both attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to changes in the daily schedule.

Daily Duties:

  • Process pre-employment paperwork
  • Assist in record keeping of pre-employment paperwork
  • Work in coordination with cruise line staff, dock representative, pier side sales and any other booking agent, for tour reservations with Dolphin Tours
  • Attain appropriate passenger pick up information for accuracy
  • Maintain accurate passenger count for boat capacity and correct pickups
  • Answer telephones and questions for all incoming calls, including e-mail
  • Meet and greet passengers in a positive and professional manner
  • Ensure correct pick up information for all passengers to avoid confusion
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, minimum age 18
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the Unites States
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service focus
  • Ability to follow direction and adapt well to a changing environment
  • Calm under stressful conditions and ability to make quick decisions
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling transportation pick up for tours and passengers
  • Required to account for the appropriate passenger count
  • Good work ethic and the ability to work in a team environment

Working Environment:
This position is required to work in an office environment. Duties include answer telephones, book tours, schedule according to availability of tours, and work in coordination with all other staff for general tour operations. In addition, this position requires some greeting and customer service outside in the weather conditions.
